With most reviewers focusing on the new Lamborghini Aventador S’ performance regardless of location, it’s interesting to see a change in the status quo.
This review conducted by Motor Trend’s Jonny Lieberman takes us to South Florida where the roads are straight and the people love themselves exotic-looking cars.
So then how great can an Aventador S be in an environment where there are no backroads, no canyons, nothing to challenge its dynamic properties? It’s an interesting thought, although with 740 PS (730 HP) at its disposal, driving in a straight line should be plenty fun.
Lieberman talks about the car’s jerky 7-speed transmission, as well as the fact that it may not be the best long distance cruiser in the supercar realm, yet at the same time, he argues that the Aventador S is technically the best Lamborghini he’s ever driven and that bringing one to Miami feels very natural.
The full specs for the Aventador S read as follows: 740 PS (730 HP), 690 Nm (509 lb-ft), 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds, 350 km/h (217 mph) top speed. It may not be as extreme as the slightly more powerful SV model, but it certainly gets the job done better than its predecessor.
