While developing the 812 Superfast, Ferrari concentrated on all important aspects of the car. Thus, they gave it the most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever found in a road legal model at the front, rear wheel drive and a comfortable interior with actual room for luggage.
However, during the birthing process, they left an important aspect aside: its name. Thus, the 812 carries a rather unusual suffix – the Superfast. Mind you, it is super fast, no matter where the person holding the wheel unleashes it, yet it could be too quick for its own good.
In fact, as Top Gear’s former co-host Matt LeBlanc put it, it’s too fast to use on the road.

In order to see what this supercar is all about, LeBlanc took it to Imola, the famous Italian track located about 40 km (25 miles) east of Bologna and only 80 km (50 miles) east of the Ferrari factory, in Maranello. With no legal speed limits to worry about, LeBlanc made a few other observations about the 812 Superfast, before paying his respects to one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time, Ayrton Senna, who lost his life at the Tamburello corner, on May 1, 1994, after hitting the wall at 233 km/h (145 mph).
