Do you want to outdo your BMW M and Mercedes-AMG owning friends with something much more exclusive? Then you might want to take a look at this Jaguar XJ12 by Tom Walkinshaw Racing.
The car, currently listed for sale on Craigslist in Los Angeles, is one of just 30 built and one of just two residing in the United States.
The Jag was apparently ordered by pro golfer John Woodhall in 1986 and the seller claims that it has 40,800 miles (65,600 km) on the clock. Despite the mileage, the car appears to be in excellent condition.
Glance at the exterior and you’ll notice a series of modifications over all other XJ models from the period. For example, there are beefed-up front and rear bumpers, fiberglass side skirts, color-matching Speedline wheels and a rear spoiler. Heck, the car even features color-matching painted windshield wipers. The car’s current owner has also had it equipped with Bilstein dampers and a modified steering rack.
For a car with over 40,000 miles under its belt, the interior appears to be in excellent condition. Much of the cabin is finished in tan leather while there is also plush carpeting as well as an array of wooden trim.
The asking price is $25,000, which might be a bit steep even for a Jaguar powered by a 5.3-liter V12. Then again, it’s highly unlikely you’ll ever come across the other example that’s on U.S. soil. It hardly gets any more exclusive than that.
