Much like its little brother, the Huracan, and other all-wheel drive rivals such as the Nissan GT-R, the Lamborghini Aventador is one of those ideal choices for boosting power output to hypercar levels.

This fine orange specimen here features a GAD Motors twin turbo tune, giving it no fewer than 1,300 horses, not enough for setting records, but clearly sufficient for setting really fast 1/2 mile times.

These runs were made at a Race1000 event, where you keep score of which cars are quickest over a 1/2 mile, not the 1/4 mile. Apparently, this twin turbo V12 Aventador ran the distance in 16.1 seconds, which would rival a Veyron.

Another thing we can admire about the car is the stock look, if you could ever say such a thing about any Lamborghini. Still, it doesn’t have any outlandish exterior mods to suggest it’s nearly two times as powerful as the factory LP700-4.

If most drag racing events didn’t have power categories, taking the stickers off this car and pulling up next to some unsuspecting racer would be pretty fun.
