After watching the video below, you may think about driving a little slower the next time you see roads drenched in water.
While it’s difficult to ascertain what vehicle the cammer is driving, he was definitely lucky to escape what could have quickly turned into a very violent crash.
As the driver cruises along the motorway, he hits a puddle on the left side of the lane and instantly losses control of the car as it starts aquaplaning. First, he momentarily slides to the left before the car aggressively swerves to the right, slamming into the side of a minivan traveling in the right lane. This impact pushes the car to the left and, for a brief moment, it appeared to be careening straight into the steel crash barriers on the side of the road.

Fortunately, the car again flicks back to the right and only its tail end hits the barrier. By this time, the car is traveling quite slowly and the driver is able to bring it back under control and pull over to the side of the road.
While his car has certainly suffered some considerable damage, the driver should be thankful things weren’t any worse. If, for example, the car slid directly into the barriers after initially hitting the puddle, the crash would have been much worse – and that would also be the case if he was driving any faster.
