Honda has touched down at Milan Design Week for the first time ever, bringing along the so-called ‘Honda Experience – Casa Connessa Tortona’, an exhibit that also features the automaker’s first battery electric vehicle for Europe, the ‘e Prototype’.
Based in the Tortona design district of Milan, Honda used high-end fashion boutique ‘Alysi – The Garden House’ as the base for this exhibit, which will run from April 10 to April 14, between 10 am – 9 pm.
Walk past the entrance and into the main space and you’ll be greeted by the e Prototype parked under a glass roof, which in turn leaves the car open to “shifting natural light.” At the very center of the exhibit is an architectural tree sculpture, created from natural materials and acting as a symbol of the “seamless link between the outside environment and inside life” – same as the design language of the e Prototype.
The Japanese automaker has also collaborated with a team of Italian photographers in order to create an exhibition inspired by the design language of the e Prototype. There will also be a diorama designed to represent the ‘seamless living’ style of the vehicle’s interior, while Italian furniture company Danord curated pieces for the area.
The ‘Honda Experience – Casa Connessa Tortona’ is in Milan’s Zona Tortona neighborhood, close to Porta Genova train station.
