Audi of America is tweaking its subscription service and lowering the cost of entry.

Available exclusively in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metropolitan area, the Audi Select service is gaining a new Core Collection tier which starts at $995 per month. This makes the program more competitive with Access by BMW and the Mercedes-Benz Collection which start at $998 and $1095 per month, respectively (in different markets).

Members who choose the Core Collection will receive access to a handful of different vehicles including the S3, A4, Q5 and TT Coupe. Users are allowed two vehicle swaps per month and the $995 fee includes insurance, maintenance, roadside assistance, taxes and unlimited mileage. Audi also throws in two days worth of car rentals from Silvercar.

Customers with bigger wallets can continue to opt for the Premier Collection which costs $1,495 per month. It includes access to the entire Core Collection as well as more premium vehicles such as the A5 Cabriolet, S5 Coupe, A6 and Q7.

In a statement, Audi of America CFO Matt Carpenter said “Building off of the early success of the Audi Select product, the introduction of the Core Collection now offers our Dallas-Ft. Worth customers even more options to consider.” He went on to say the automaker is committed to creating “a suite of mobility products and services that offer increasing access and flexibility to our Audi customers.”

While Audi’s new Core Collection undercuts the competition in terms of pricing, it has a more limited vehicle lineup. Mercedes’ Signature tier provides access to seven vehicles including the CLA 45, C 300 Sedan / Coupe / Cabriolet, GLC 300 SUV / Coupe and SLC 300 Roadster. Likewise, BMW’s Icon tier has six vehicles including the 330i, 300e, X2, X3, i3 and M240i Convertible.
