The Porsche Cayenne Coupe lineup is expanding as the company has introduced the new S variant.
Designed to slot in between the standard model and the Turbo, the 2020 Cayenne S Coupe has a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 engine that produces 434 hp (324 kW / 440 PS) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which sends power to a standard all-wheel drive system. This enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 5.0 seconds and onto a top speed of 163 mph (263 km/h).
In the United States, the Cayenne S Coupe features 20-inch wheels and a panoramic glass roof. Other highlights include eight-way power front sport seats, a two-person rear seat (a three-person bench is a no cost option) and the Sport Chrono Package.
The European model is slightly different, but it retains the panoramic glass roof, 20-inch wheels and Sport Chrono Package. Customers will also find Park Assist, a speed-sensitive Power Steering Plus system and the Porsche Active Suspension Management system.
In both markets, customers will be able to order three Lightweight Sport Packages. They add a number of special features including Houndstooth cloth seat centers, a carbon fiber roof and 22-inch forged aluminum wheels. When all three packages are ordered together, they reduce the 0-62 mph (0-100 mph) time by a tenth of a second.
