The 2020 Lincoln Corsair Configurator Is Live Allowing You To Load It Up To $60,000

Lincoln has launched the online configurator for the new Corsair, the brand’s entry into the luxury compact crossover class.

Available here, it includes two different versions of the vehicle, called the Standard and Reserve. Pricing kicks off from $35,945 and $42,630, respectively, not including a $995 destination charge. Even the base model is decently specced, with Co-Pilot360 driver assist technology, SYNC3 infotainment and other standard gear.

You’ll have to settle with front-wheel drive with the base models, as AWD is an optional extra that bumps the starting price to $40,540, again, excluding destination. Power in both cases comes from the 2.0-liter engine rated at 250 horsepower and 275 lb-ft (373 Nm) of torque. The 2.3-liter unit, with 280 hp and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque is available for the Corsair Reserve and selecting it, along with the all-wheel drive system, will bring the MSRP to $50,365.

If you’re up to it and want to further attack your bank account, then you can go for Reserve II Equipment Collection that adds adaptive suspension, 24-way electrically adjustable front seats, Lincoln Co-Pilot360 Plus Package and more. Then you’ll have to choose the exterior color, wheels and options, before arriving inside, where things get even more costly.

Mind you, by choosing every optional extra, the price of the 2020 Lincoln Corsair can exceed the $60,000 mark, which would bring to you Mercedes-Benz GLE territory, as it starts from $56,200. For reference, the Mercedes GLC, which is a similarly-sized premium proposal to the likes of the Corsair, costs $40,700, without ticking any boxes, of course.
