A Tesla Model X found itself in a rather precarious position after crashing on a highway in France last week.
Limited details about this incident are known but it reportedly occurred on the A404 highway toward Bourg/Oyonnax and images from the scene show the white Model X positioned rather precariously on the guard rails.

It seems as though the electric SUV ended up in this rather weird position after crashing into the start of the guard rail at speed and was simply propelled up before coming to a rest. One photo reveals that the front bumper has sustained some hefty damage and will clearly need to be replaced. The passenger-side front wheel also appears to be a little bent, indicating there may be some suspension damage.
We don’t know what state the underside of the Model X is in but if any damage has been done to the battery pack, the Tesla might be sent straight to a scrapyard never to be seen again on public roads.
It doesn’t appear as though anyone was injured in the crash – which is rather fortunate. Earlier this month, we brought you shocking footage and details of a Tesla Model 3 which crashed into a guardrail in Dade County, Florida. The impact caused the guardrail to pierce the sedan from front to back but remarkably, the driver escaped without any injuries.
