Buying custom hypercars from the world’s most exclusive car manufacturers is a very expensive endeavor, but it can prove to be quite profitable, too, as real estate investor Manny Khoshbin has found out.
Khoshbin has one of the most famous supercar and hypercar collections in the United States and, last year, took delivery of a Koenigsegg Agera RS Phoenix. Speaking with CNBC, Khoshbin revealed that he paid $2.2 million for the Swedish hypercar, but after just five months of owning it, he sold it for a cool $4.1 million.
During the interview, Khoshbin said that a friend connected him to someone interested in buying the Agera RS Phoenix finished in gloss carbon fiber and complete with gold accents.

“I wasn’t thinking about selling it. Honestly, I was buying to keep it permanently, but I got an offer I couldn’t refuse. He had another Koenigsegg in carbon and gold and this was a perfect match to the other in his collection. I said $5 million, we negotiated and landed at $4.1 million. Quickest $1.9 million I ever made,” he said.
Khoshbin placed an order for an Agera RS a few years ago and his personal car was presented to the world at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017 as the Gryphon. However, a high-speed crash involving the car on May 11, 2017 saw it destroyed. Khoshbin was offered a replacement and specced out a new car with even more carbon fiber and gold than the car he originally ordered.
Shortly after parting ways with his bespoke Koenigsegg, the real estate mogul purchased a rare Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Rembrandt for $2 million.
