The E30-generation is arguably the most desirable of all M3s at the momen,t and this particular 1989 example almost made us rush to the local bank to plead for a loan.
The first thing to mention about this E30 M3 is that it has been outfitted with a number of modifications, which might adversely affect its resale value compared to all-original M3 examples. Nevertheless, the car looks absolutely stunning and should be a peach to drive.
Among the most significant upgrades made to the car include the fitment of Ground Control coilovers at all four corners as well as beefed-up brakes from StopTech. The car also includes E36 front control arms, camber and toe adjusters, new rear shock tower mounts, suspension bushings, wheel bearings, and brake lines, as well as a set of black OZ Ultraleggera 17-inch wheels shod in 235/40 Dunlop Direzza ZIII tires.

The engine has also been upgraded, with the inline-four now featuring 11:1 compression pistons, a Miller Performance MAG conversion, VAC Motorsports oil pan baffle, EVO lower intake, Supersprint muffler and mid-pipe with high-flow catalytic converters, a MoFab tune, a new fuel tank and fuel lines. The driveshaft has been rebuilt and, as with all E30 M3s, power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
As for the cabin, it is mostly stock bar for a set of Recaro bucket seats, an Alpine stereo with new speakers, a distinct Momo steering wheel and new pedals.
Perhaps the only downside of this particular E30 M3 is that it has 150,000 miles (241,000) on the clock, which is quite a lot. Even so, the highest bid on Bring A Trailer was sitting at $36,030 at the time of writing, with a little over 10 hours left until the auction ends.
