It’s been a while since we last saw a Corvette C8 rendering so we thought we’d fix that by showing you a new batch of CGIs of the most anticipated Corvette ever.

They are all authored by an old acquaintance of ours, Chazcron aka Charles Cronley from the MidEngineCorvetteForum. He’s definitely one of the most prolific artists when it comes to Corvette C8 renderings and his latest work makes us count the days until July 18. That’s the day Chevrolet will finally present the mid-engine Corvette in Orange County, California.

Probably the most intriguing of these images is the one showing a blue 2020 Corvette on display at Kerbeck Corvette, the world’s largest Corvette dealer which has already started taking deposits for the C8. The image shows some C7 Corvettes in the background, making it pretty obvious how different the new car will be from the old front-engined model.

We’ll let you decide which of the renderings is your favorite one but we have to say the red one with the top down is absolutely jaw-dropping. We’ve also added a video from Chazcron showing how he envisions the Convertible model’s roof will operate.

While he pictures the roof as automatic, there’s no official indication that will actually be the case. Since the car has a mid-ship configuration, finding enough room between the engine and the cockpit to store the automatically retractable roof would be quite a challenge.

Yes, we’re aware that we’re in the land of speculation with these renderings but we feel they provide a pretty good indication of what the actual car will look like. The worst that can happen is for the real 2020 Corvette to look better than these renderings but we guess that’s a “risk” we’re all willing to take.
