The 356 is perhaps the cutest car ever built by Porsche. However, no one in his right mind would dare call this particular 356 ‘cute’ – and the reason is pretty obvious.
Rom Emory, the proud owner of this car, recently showed up to the Hoonigan garage with it. As he explains in the video below, the 356 in question started out life as a 1960 356B painted yellow that was found rusting away in a barn.
When Emory got his hands on it, all of its body panels were ditched and new, aluminum ones were fitted. The floor pans were also replaced, and flared wheel arches were bolted on to give the car a bold new look.

If you thought the exterior was rather wild, wait until you learn what is going on beneath the skin.
Powering the car is an engine from a 964-gen 911. Two of the six cylinders were chopped out, resulting in a small flat-four similar to the one in the original 356. A pair of Garrett GT28R turbochargers were then installed to lift power up to an impressive 400 hp. Making the car all the more exciting is the fact that it only weighs 1,950 lbs (884 kg).
Is it a blast to drive? Well, is the Pope Catholic or what?
