When the McLaren Senna was unveiled towards the end of 2017, it was met with skepticism. Its specs might be bonkers, but compared to Woking’s other super/hypercars (like, say, the P1), its looks left a lot to be desired.
However, the Senna is not about looking good; it is all about going exceptionally fast on a racetrack, and that’s something it does with ease. Don’t know if seeing it for the past 18 months has somehow made us get used to it, but this example recently delivered in San Francisco is one of the most appealing we’ve come across.

This Senna is finished in a stunning shade dubbed Vega Blue and is accompanied by a plethora of exterior parts, like the front splitter, headlight shrouds, side skirts, rear diffuser, rear wing, and wing mirrors, finished in carbon fiber. A set of silver wheels and red brake calipers complement the vibrant paint job to a tee.
As for the interior, it is largely free of any blue accents except for the hydraulic struts at the doors. Elsewhere, there are red seat belts and seats with red stitching, while the rest of the cockpit is a mixture of matte carbon fiber and black Alcantara.
Powering the McLaren Senna is a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 pumping out 789 and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. At least that’s the official line, as dyno tests have revealed the powertrain likely delivers in excess of 800 hp.
