In just a few hours, Mercedes-Benz will lift the curtain for the first-ever GLB, but until that happens, they have dropped one final teaser on social media.

The video is very short and shows the vehicle being driven in an enchanting landscape, previewing more of its exterior design and some of the interior features. The mirrored layout gives it a mystery flair, yet we do know what to expect, pretty much.

Mercedes’ new compact SUV will be positioned between the GLA and GLC. The new GLB will offer seating for seven inside the boxy styling, marketed as GLA’s more practical sibling. Referred to as the baby G-Class for quite some time, the GLB was previewed by a concept car a couple of months ago but the model itself has been in the pipeline for quite some time now.

The more practical alternative to the GLA with room for the entire family will have a modern interior layout, mostly carried over from the latest A-Class and CLA. This will include the MBUX infotainment system, the dual-display setup, as well as other technology features. Leather and high-end trim will also be part of the offering.

A wide range of petrol and diesel units will make up the engine family. Expect the usual 2.0-liter, four-cylinder mills, as well as the GLB 35 and GLB 45 models. The latter two will debut later on and will be powered by the same engines as their A-Class alternatives, namely the A35 and upcoming A45 and A45 S.
