There is still more than a month left before the long-awaited C8-generation Chevrolet Corvette is unveiled and as its premiere inches closer, designers appear to be getting rather impatient with seeing the new mid-engine supercar.
If you’re a dedicated Carscoops reader, you’re probably quite familiar with the…horde of C8 Corvette renderings that have been published in recent months. Some of these are thought to be exceptionally accurate and have provided us with a good idea of what the new ‘Vette will look like. This particular rendering/video published on Instagram does the same.

The video, created by Instagram user 2ncs, shows the C8 sitting in a parking lot without any camouflage. For added effect, the artist has dubbed in the sounds of guard dogs and sirens to make it feel as though he broke into a private parking lot to get up close with the supercar.
The car itself will probably prove to look quite similar to the vehicle rendered. There are aggressive headlights alongside a menacing front bumper with larger intakes. Additionally, sharp intakes can be found on the sides of the supercar. You may also notice a small spoiler at the rear which looks largely identical to the spoilers we’ve seen on various camouflaged prototypes.
Chevrolet is keeping its cards close to its chest when it comes to releasing details about the new ‘Vette. However, Carscoops understands that it will initially be unveiled in entry-level Stingray guise with a 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine pumping out approximately 500 hp. A number of other variants are in the works, potentially including a twin-turbo V8 hybrid model with roughly 1000 hp.
