An image of what appears to be the next-generation Renault Kangoo has come across our desks and, if is the real deal, it shows that the new model has been significantly updated compared compare to its predecessor.
The pic, although in low resolution, shows the minivan
finished in a dark shade of yellow and with a look heavily inspired by the Kangoo Z.E. Concept revealed earlier this year.
The front sports rectangular-shaped headlights that are joined seamlessly to a horizontal chrome bar running across the front grille, as well as black fog light surrounds in the lower portion of the bumper. The overall shape of the new Kangoo is boxier than the outgoing model and appears to feature silver roof rails, silver mirror caps, and a set of sporty black and silver wheels.

No images of the new Kangoo’s rear end are available, but from what we can see, the taillights appear to be similar in design to those of the Z.E. Concept.
The current Kangoo has been around for more than a decade and the release of the Z.E. Concept in all-electric guise indicates to us that the production model will also be sold as an EV. In addition, a diesel-powered model will be available to customers, likely powered by an uprated version of the company’s current 1.5-liter dCi powertrain.
This photo, as well as a number of thinly-disguised prototypes snapped in recent months, indicates that the premiere of the new Renault Kangoo is like just a few weeks or months away. Stay tuned.
