This Audi RS5 Sportback was recently displayed at a Cars and Coffee event in Pasadena, California – and even in the state where it’s hard to raise an eyebrow unless you’re driving a very special exotic, it does manage to draw attention to itself.
You see, this particular RS5has been painted in a distinctive color from Audi Exclusive.
This isn’t that unique, as many other RS5s feature Audi Exclusive paint options. What makes it special is that Peridot Green is actually a Porsche paint. Mind you, it’s not a particularly common choice for Porsches, either, though it was one of the official launch colors for the previous-generation Cayenne GTS.

This Audi includes a number of gloss black parts to ensure the green isn’t overbearing, such as the mirror caps, wheels, front grille, and front splitter. There are also red brake calipers ,although we’re not sure they go particularly well with that shade of green.
You may be wondering just how Audi can offer a Porsche color to its customers. Well, both companies are part of the Volkswagen Group and there are other colors shared between them; for example, Audi’s classic shade of Nardo Grey can be optioned on Porsche models through the sports car maker’s Paint to Sample programme.
As a reminder, the Audi RS5 Sportback is powered by a twin-turbo 2.9-liter TFSI V6 with 444 hp and 442 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque, which can propel it to 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in just 3.9 seconds.
