This 2018 Ferrari California T is a tailor-made example from the brand’s “70th Anniversary” model series.

Ferrari created 70 different liveries to celebrate its 70th birthday and this Ferrari California T is the only one in the world with livery number 54, which was inspired by the most successful F40 race car in history and the only F40 to ever have won an FIA championship.

It has covered just 78 miles since new and is a right-hand drive example, making it a really rare limited edition Ferrari for the right collector. Silverstone Auctions will offer this California T in its Classic Sale, which is set to take place on July 27 and 28.

The livery blends the Bianco Italia paintwork with Giallo Modena and Rosso Corsa stripes. Desirable options such as the carbon exterior side sills, the special handling package, fully electric seats and the Navrak anti-theft system are also present.

The Ferrari California T became the first modern Ferrari with a turbocharged V8, replacing the naturally aspirated California as the entry-level member of the brand’s range. The 3.9-liter engine produces 553hp and 557lb-ft of torque, making this convertible Prancing Horse capable of a 0-62mph (100km/h) in 3.6 seconds and of a 196mph top speed (315km/h).

Maybe the California T isn’t the most desirable Ferrari out there, but such is the power of the brand that even a special edition of the company’s previous-gen entry model is expected to fetch between £255,000 to £285,000 ($323,000 to $361,000 in current exchange rates). Or maybe you could use that money to get a 488 Pista?
