Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition Gets R34 Signature Paint, £92,995 Tag

Unveiled at the 2019 New York Auto Show, the Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition has been launched in the United Kingdom with a £92,995 ($118,014/€103,770) price tag.

This version is limited to 50 units in Europe, including the 18 RHD examples destined for Britain, where customer deliveries will commence at the end of next month.

Making a return for the limited edition supercar is the Bayside (Wangan) Blue paintjob that was last seen on the GT-R R34 and is complemented by the blue accents on the new 20-inch alloy wheels and contrasted by the white racing stripes. All versions of the GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition aimed for Europe will be finished in this shade.

Opening the door reveals a typical GT-R cabin, albeit with a few visual changes. The model builds on the Prestige trim level and gets grey leatheron the seats, steering wheel and gearshift lever,. seat embossing, an Alcantara headliner with unique stitching and Alcantara-wrapped sun visors.

The oily bits are unchanged, which means that power comes from a 3.8-liter, twin-turbo V6 that makes 565 PS (557 hp / 416 kW) and 633 Nm (467 lb-ft) of torque.

Offered alongside the special edition GT-R is the 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition. Only 22 cars will be available in the United Kingdom, where the first units have already been shipped last month. Pricing starts at £38,995 ($49,486/€43,513) for the model that wears a retro color scheme and comes with a few updates inside. The 3.7-liter V6 develops 332 PS (327 hp / 244 kW) and 366 Nm (270 lb-ft) of torque and is hooked up to a standard six-speed manual or, optionally, a seven-speed automatic transmission.
