Singer has largely had the market for classic Porsche 911 transformations all to itself in recent years but Lanzante’s F1-powered Porsche 930 is something equally as special.

Unveiled last year, Lanzante’s Porsche 930 TAG Turbo will be limited to just 11 examples with each priced from a cool $1.45 million before taxes. Over the weekend, the car made its dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, running up the hillclimb with impressive pace and putting on an amazing show for all those in attendance.

The driver clearly wasn’t pushing the car to its limits nor revving out the engine but when you take a second to consider how valuable this vehicle is, we don’t blame them.

Lanzante, perhaps best known among some readers as being the company to make the McLaren P1 GTR street legal, sourced a total of 11, 1.5-liter TAG-Porsche Turbo V6 engines from McLaren which were used to power its F1 cars in the mid-80s. Each of these 11 engines have competed in F1 races and one of them even powered Niki Lauda to victory at the British Grand Prix in 1984.

Significant alterations had to be made to the engine to ensure it suited a street car. As such, the engines now pump out 503 hp and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque and rev through to 9000 rpm. Those are serious numbers, especially when you consider that the 930 premiered way back in the 1970s. Mated to the engine is a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
