2020 Audi S7 On Display With Firmament Blue Metallic Exterior

Audi recently unveiled its latest-generation S7 Sportback, which in Europe is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 TDI diesel engine, good for 344 HP (349 PS) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. Other markets meanwhile get the twin-turbo 2.9-liter TFSI V6 version.

Alas, a diesel-powered S7 Sportback was on display recently at the Audi Forum in Neckarsulm, rocking a Firmament Blue Metallic exterior. This is not an Audi Exclusive color, but it will cost you an extra 1,000 euros ($1,121) in Germany.

Frugal yet formidable

According to Audi, you can average anywhere between 6.2 l/100 km (37.9 mpg US / 45.5 mpg UK) to 6.5 l/100 km (36.1 mpg US / 43.4 mpg UK), with CO2 emissions at around 170 g/km. Not bad at all for a large two tonne family car that can accelerate you to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.1 seconds.

In order to give you a sportier ride, Audi fitted the S7 TDI with an updated power steering system, sport suspension (reducing ride height by 0.4 inches / 10 mm), plus a high-performance braking system with six-piston calipers and 15.7-inch (400 mm) discs at the front and six-piston calipers with 13.8-inch (350 mm) discs at the rear.

Visually, the car boasts larger air intakes, side skirts, a revised grille, new mirror caps and 20-inch wheels as standard. The interior meanwhile comes with plenty of contrast stitching, brushed aluminum trim, stainless steel pedals, illuminated sill plates and of course a digital instrument cluster with S-specific graphics.

The flat bottom steering wheel, as seen on this car, is an optional extra. As for the seats, while we can’t really see them, they’re either Alcantara (standard) or feature a custom Valcona leather design.
