Red Bull Racing sponsor Aston Martin is set to honor its association with the James Bond movie franchise during this weekend’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

The two Red Bull cars will feature iconic 007 logos as well as Bond number plates on the back of their rear wings. For example, Max Verstappen will rock the plate from the Aston Martin DB5 in Goldfinger (1964), while Pierre Gasly’s car will feature the Aston Martin V8 number plate from The Living Daylights (1987).

To make things even more interesting, the team’s pit garage will feature wall graphics inspired by Q’s MI6 laboratory, which is a pretty cool touch.

“Aston Martin is proud of its association with James Bond. This weekend, we look forward to celebrating this longstanding partnership at Formula One’s 1,007th Grand Prix,” said the automaker’s president and CEO, Dr Andy Palmer.

The connection between James Bond and Aston Martin cars goes back to 1964’s Goldfinger movie and the DB5. Meanwhile, the following movie, Thunderball, featured the DB5 at Silverstone in a chase sequence.

Through the decades, Agent 007 got to drive many Aston Martin models, such as the V8 Vantage Volante, the DB10 and the DBS to name a few. Speaking of the DBS, to mark its 50th anniversary, Aston Martin will sell 50 special-edition 2019 DBS Superleggera models – with the first of them to get track time at Silverstone during the Pirelli Hot Laps sessions.

Visitors will also get to see multiple Aston Martins from the James Bond films on display in the ‘Bond in Motion’ exhibition. This collection will even include the V8 that will appear in Bond 25.
