On July 18, the new generation Corvette will be officially unveiled. One might think that Chevrolet has already ended the final testing phase, but another video, shot on the outskirts of the Nurburgring track in Germany, proves otherwise.
The C8 duo was filmed driving on the road, covered by the same camouflage pattern that we have so gotten to know these past few months. They also sport some door decals that announce next Thursday as the big unveiling date.

Unlike the outgoing ‘Vette, the new generation will tap deeper into Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren territory with a mid-engine layout. As such, it will thus offer better weight distribution, which will translate into even better cornering.
And it won’t break the bank, either, as a rumor has it it will start from around $70,000, or $15,000 more than the C7. In comparison, the Porsche 911 Carrera has a $91,100 MSRP in the United States and pumps out 370 HP, but the entry-level Corvette C8, which will retain the Stingray moniker, is expected to pack a 6.2-liter V8 with 500 horsepower or so.
The base model will be followed by more powerful versions, bringing the all-new ;Vettecloser to some of the best supercars available today. Will it be able to match them on their own turf? We hope we won’t have to wait long until we find out.
