SsangYong has just launched the Rexton ICE Edition for the United Kingdom, set to arrive at dealers in mid-July, with a £34,995 ($43,459/€38,738) starting price.
It’s based on the 2019.5 Rexton ELX mid-range trim and is finished in a unique Ice White pearlescent paint, hence the name. It also gets new 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler with brake lamp, roof rails and touch-sensing door handles.

The Rexton ICE Edition packs a selection of safety gear as well, such as autonomous emergency braking, hill descent control, electronic stability program, active rollover protection, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist and electronic parking brake with auto hold.
Like other second-gen Rextons destined for Britain, the ICE Edition is also powered by a 2.2-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine, with 181 PS (178 hp / 133 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque. It can be connected to the standard AISIN six-speed manual or the optional Mercedes-sourced seven-speed automatic transmission. All models have a top speed of 115 mph (185 km/h) and the ability to accelerate to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 11.3 seconds with the manual, or 11.9 seconds with the automatic gearbox. The Rexton also boasts a 3.5-ton (7,716 lbs) towing capacity.
