Owners of four-cylinder 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster models might feel intimidated by the launch of the more powerful and beefier-looking Cayman GT4 and Boxster Spyder six-cylinder models.

They need not worry though because TechArt has got their back. The German aftermarket specialist has released a series of styling and performance upgrades for the mid-engined sports cars.

Available for a limited time only, the GT Package for all 718 Cayman models brings the TechArt front spoiler I and the GT-style rear wing II for €2,390 (about $2,680) without VAT and installation/paintwork.

The tuner also offers aero kits for both the 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster. The kit includes a two-piece front spoiler with integrated splitter, rear spoiler I (a smaller version of the rear wing II), as well as a series of carbon fiber parts including the air blades, side mirrors, side air intakes, rear diffuser, trims, and rear wing profile. There are plenty of carbon options for the 718’s interior as well.

For those customers who want performance upgrades as well, TechArt offers easy to install power kits for 718 S and 718 GTS models. The Techtronic power upgrade boost the 2.5-liter flat-four turbocharged engine from the 718 S to 400 PS (395 hp) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque, up from 350 PS (345 hp) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) in stock guise. As a result, the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) is cut to 3.9 seconds and the top speed rises to 296 km/h (184 mph).

The 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in this case is cut to 3.8 seconds, making the tuned 718 Cayman / Boxster GTS 0.6 seconds quicker than the 718 Cayman GT4 / Boxster Spyder.
