As more examples of the new generation Chevrolet Corvette arrive at dealers, we get more chances of seeing them in their natural habitat.
This one, for example, was seen at Connell Chevrolet, south of Los Angeles, as it was being driven outside the building, surrounded by a small crowd who wanted to immortalize the moment.
In between being carefully maneuvered around obstacles, with an open top view of the sky above, it revved its V8 and put its nose lift system to use.

This technology can be engaged at speeds of up to 24 mph (39 km/h) and can lift the front end of the car by 1.6 inches (40 mm), making sure speed bumps or other obstacles in the road will not damage the apron. More importantly, the system is capable of doing the task automatically, should the driver store a location in the GPS; and with 1,000 possible entries, it will keep that front end unscratched for a long time.
Thanks to the sub-$60,000 starting price, good looks and 6.2-liter, naturally aspirated V8 right behind the driver and passenger, the new Corvette C8 is expected to become a best seller in the class. Dealers are already having a hard time keeping up with demand, which is understandable, given that the Stingray is capable of accelerating to 60 mph (96 km/h) in under three seconds with the Z51 Performance Package that adds 5 hp and 5 lb-ft (7 Nm) of torque to the output, raising it to 495 hp and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm).
