The heartwarming story of Michelle and Don Beuchene, who adopted four children after having six of their own, presented on ‘Good Morning America’, last November, got them a free Hyundai Palisade.
They first encountered the Palisade at its global debut hosted during the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, invited by Hyundai, and recently took delivery of it at Preston Hyundai, in Ohio.
“We were thrilled and honored to be the dealership that presented the Beauchenes with their very own 2020 Hyundai Palisade SUV”, said general manager Joshua Bakuhn. “From Ohio to Los Angeles, their story showed how care and compassion can help build a family, regardless of the obstacles.”

“Michelle and Don are incredibly deserving of the all-new Hyundai Palisade, and they embody the Hyundai spirit of making things better”, added CMO Dean Evans. “Whether it is for road trips or for running their new family about, we wish nothing but the very best for the Beauchene family and hope that this vehicle brings them much happiness and many, many miles for years to come.”
The automaker didn’t detail the spec of the eight-seater SUV gifted to the Bouchennes, but the SUV has a starting price of $31,550 in the SE grade. The mid-range SEL is almost $2,000 more expensive and the Limited starts at $44,700.
Regardless of grade, the sole engine option is a 3.8-liter V6 rated at 291 horsepower, which returns 22 mpg (10.7 l/100 km / 26.4 mpg UK) combined. The only things that set the three trim levels apart from each other are the levels of equipment and the fact that the Palisade Limited is offered with second row captain’s chairs, dropping the number of seats to 7.
