Jaguar is offering a generous discount to current Tesla owners interested in jumping ship and purchasing an I-Pace in the United States.
According to Engadget, the British car manufacturer has launched what it calls the ‘Tesla Conquest’ incentive to strip off $3,000 from the starting price of an I-Pace for anyone who lives in a Tesla-owning household.
This incentive can be combined with a $5,000 dealer discount and $7,000 allowance credit to slash the price of the all-electric crossover by a generous $15,000, reducing its price from $69,500 to $54,500.

Jaguar doesn’t require current Tesla owners to trade in their vehicles and instead simply requires proof of ownership or registration. The offer will run through until September 30, 2019. It cannot be combined with the zero per cent financing option that Jaguar has also offered since the start of the year.
Jaguar beat its European rivals like Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and BMW to the punch with the launch of its electric SUV as a direct rival to the Model X but, despite its head start, sales of the I-Pace in the United States remain slow.
In fact, Jaguar is averaging approximately 200 I-Pace sales per month in the U.S., totaling 1,522 sales in the first seven months of 2019. To put that figures into perspective, it is believed that Tesla has sold at least 1,000 units of the Model X in the U.S. every month, with the exception of January. Monthly sales peaked in June, with 2,725 cars being delivered. It is therefore no surprise that Jaguar is looking to attract Tesla owners into its own EV instead.
