Relationships can be tough, but most people don’t take out their anger on a helpless Cadillac.
However, that’s exactly what 20-year-old Hunter Mills did as he used a front end loader to dump dirt on a 2010 Cadillac CTS being driven by his girlfriend.
According to a tweet from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Mills wanted to talk to his girlfriend so she showed up to his work at an excavating company. The two apparently got into an argument when Mill’s girlfriend refused to answer a question, presumably about whose Cadillac she was driving.
Mills then went off the rails and hopped behind the wheel of a front end loader. He then proceeded to dump dirt on the Cadillac, which had its driver’s side window partially open.
The results are pretty clear as the CTS was covered by several inches of dirt. The driver’s side seat and floor were also covered, and you also see dirt on the center console and door panel.
Unsurprisingly, the police were called and Mills was taken into custody. He’s now facing charges of felony criminal mischief.
According to the website of criminal defense attorney Richard Hornsby, that means the damages were estimated to be in excess of $1,000 (£824 / €901). That means Mills could potentially be facing up to five years in jail and a fine of up to $5,000 (£4,120 / €4,507).
