David Brown Automotive has released a pair of teaser images showing a new, high-performance version of the Mini Remastered that was created to celebrate the model’s 60th anniversary.
DBA will limit the run of the new Mini Remastered variant to 60 units, one for each year passed since the original Mini was revealed in 1959.
Technical details of the faster Mini Remastered remain under wraps; we do know however that David Brown Automotive created the new model in partnership with classic car specialist Oselli, which developed the A-Series engine.

“We are extremely excited to announce this pioneering new partnership with Oselli,” said David Brown, company founder and CEO. “We are experts in car design and engineering, while Oselli add to our combined knowledge as long-term specialists in honing race car performance. The classic Mini has a rich racing heritage and our new car, to be revealed in full soon, gives customers yet another reason to want to own a Mini Remastered now that we are also catering for the performance market.”
The new limited edition Mini Remastered will be offered in a number of one-off color combinations, which DBA will also offer a number of matching race suits and helmets as optional extras.
The DBA Mini Remastered is considered one of the finest examples of the classic Mini, with each car requiring 1,400 hours to complete. “Regular” Mini Remastered models share just the engine and transmission with the donor vehicle, with the engine being completely rebuilt to produce 94hp.
It’s safe to expect that this new high-performance version will offer more ponies and come with an even crazier price tag than the already absurd £75,000 ($92,000 in current exchange rates) base price of the previous models.
DBA will reveal the new limited-edition Mini Remastered at the Goodwood Revival on September 13, along with all the juicy specs.
