Truly bizarre cars like the recent BMW X7 Pickup truck (especially) and Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain show that leading German car manufacturers can let their hair down and have fun with intriguing one-offs.
Could Audi Sport follow their lead with a pickup truck version of the all-new Audi RS6 Avant? Never say never, as BMW also proved in the past with their 2011 M3 Pickup (see it here).
The RS6 pickup featured here straight from the mind of rendering artist X-Tomi Design, shows what such a vehicle could look like. We absolutely love it and are sure it could prove popular in countries like Australia where high-powered utes are hugely desirable.

Much of the RS6’s standard design has been retained at the front half but the front doors do appear to have been shortened. Things get really wild with the removal of the second-row and rear doors and the fitment of a near-vertical rear window that makes way for a large bed where the rear seats and trunk would ordinarily sit.
If Audi was able to ensure the car retained its rigidity despite missing most of its roof, we don’t think building an RS6 pickup truck would be all that difficult. After all, a YouTuber builder recently transformed a Tesla Model 3 into a pickup in a shed. Audi Sport certainly has the resources and expertise to build such a vehicle.
It would no doubt be…interesting to drive due to the lack of weight over the rear wheels despite the RS6 Avant featuring a trick all-wheel drive system. As for power? Well, that would come from the Avant’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with 48-volt mild-hybrid technology and 591 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque.
