Nissan is launching the updated 2020 GT-R in the UK, with order books now open and the first cars scheduled for delivery from this November.

For the 2020MY, Nissan’s iconic GT-R received a pair of new turbochargers on its 562hp 3.8-liter V6 engine, which provide a better low-rpm response thanks to an abradable seal, tighter clearances and a 5 percent increase in efficiency. The dual-clutch transmission was also updated to provide faster gear shifts by 0.15 seconds when in R-Mode.

The small revisions continue with the updated suspension which has been tuned for better stability and a smoother ride, as well as a new brake booster and a new titanium exhaust muffler. The exhaust manifolds also get optimised turbo flange attachment points for easier servicing.

Nissan also claims that the steering is now more linear and precise, requiring minimal corrections from the driver at speeds of up to 186mph (300km/h).

For the first time since the R34 GT-R, customers will be able to pick Bayside Blue from the available color range, which features a four-coat double-heat treatment process for a much more impressive finish. A set of 20-inch alloy wheels with a 20-spoke design is also new, as well as a grey leather interior option.

Pricing for the 2020 Nissan GT-R in the UK starts from £83,995 in the entry-level Pure trim. The range will also include the Track Edition, priced from £99,995. Carbon-fiber seats can be fitted for £6750 while ceramic brakes are a £7500. The range-topping NISMO model comes with 592hp and an eye-watering £174,995 price tag.
