Brabus will be dropping jaws at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show with the new G V12 900 ‘One of Ten’, which is one of their premieres for the event that starts in less than 24 hours.

Based on the new-gen G-Class, it’s offered in a limited production run of 10 and packs a V12 engine sourced from the Mercedes-Benz S600 L, where it produces 530 PS (523 HP / 390 kW).

Thanks to an increased displacement, from 6.0 to 6.3 liters, larger turbochargers and other modified or replaced components, it now kicks out a whopping 900 PS (887 HP / 662 kW) and 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft), while torque has been limited to 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft) – presumably so as not to chew up the transmission.

The stunning output, which is channeled to both axles via the 9-speed automatic gearbox, rockets “the world’s most powerful twelve-cylinder SUV” to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds and up to a top speed electronically capped at 280 km/h (174 mph).

Compared to the stock 2019 Mercedes-AMG G63, whose 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 delivers 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque, Brabus’ latest project is 0.7 seconds faster to 62 mph and has a 40 km/h (25 mph) higher top speed than the model equipped with the optional AMG Driver’s Package.

Brabus’ latest super SUV also features the Ride Control coilover suspension with damping tailored to the axle loads with the new twelve-cylinder power unit and connected to the Dynamic Select suspension controller inside. The suspension can be adjusted and leaves room under the arches for the tuner’s 23- or 24-inch wheels.

With the Widestar body kit, it is also wider by 10 cm (4 in). The modifications include revised front and rear fascias, auxiliary LED lights, carbon fiber add-ons and a few other nips and tucks.

Inside, Brabus has added fine leather with orange piping, Alcantara headliner, unique ‘One of Ten’ plaque, carbon fiber scuff plates with the company backlit logo, aluminum pedals and door-lock pins and a speedometer with a 300 km/h (186 mph) top reading. Rear passengers can also view the speed, outside temperature and time on three custom analog gauges.
