Just a few days after the latest-generation Hyundai i10 premiered on the eve of the Frankfurt Motor Show, the sporty i10 N Line has been unveiled by the carmaker. It may not be the fully-fledged N model some were expecting but it certainly looks the part.
With the introduction of the i10 N Line, there are now four models in the Hyundai range to be spruced up with N Line models, namely the i30 hatchback, i30 Fastback, and Tucson SUV. The i10 N Line follows a familiar philosophy to its larger siblings with some sporty interior and exterior upgrades and an exclusive powertrain.

Let’s start with the engine, or should we say engines. The Hyundai i10 N Line can be purchased with an exclusive 1.0-liter three-cylinder T-GDi engine pumping out 98 hp and 126 lb-ft (171 Nm) of torque that is mated to a five-speed manual transmission driving the front wheels. Should customers, for whatever reason, prefer less power, they have the option of a 1.2-liter MPi four-cylinder with 82 hp and 87 lb-ft (118 Nm) of torque. This engine can also be coupled with a five-speed manual ‘box as well as a five-speed automatic.
Viewed from the outside, there is no mistaking the i10 N Line from base i10 models. The front, for example, features all new daytime running lights in the corners of the front grille. There are also a trio of bright red triangular incorporated into the grille to give off that ‘sporty’ vibe. Other trimmings at the front include a red accent on the lower portion of the bumper and new fog light surrounds.
Hyundai has also developed exclusive 16-inch wheels for the city car, a red i10 badge, a skid plate, and a diffuser out back. There are six exterior colors available, all of which can be combined with a two-tone roof. Distinctive touches continue through to the cabin where there is an N-branded steering wheel and gear shift lever alongside red air vent rings, metal pedals, and red stitching.
