The final production figures for the C7-generation Corvette during the 2019 model year have been released before its production ends later this month.
Chevrolet first started building 2019 models at the end of January 2018 and, by the end of September 2019, would have been producing them for 20 months. In that time, 34,822 C7 Corvettes were sold around the world, an impressive figure when you consider the world already knew the mid-engined C8 was coming.

Unsurprisingly, the base Corvette Stingray Coupe model proved to be the most popular model for the 2019 model year, accounting for 33 per cent of sales (11,499 units). Our favorite variant, the Grand Sport Coupe, also sold in high numbers and accounted for 27.3 per cent (9,496 units) of production. Elsewhere, a total of 5,965 Z06 Coupes were sold (17.1 cent of total production), as well as 2,411 ZR1 Coupes.
Unsurprisingly, sales of the Convertible were significantly lower: GM shifted just 2,192 Corvette Stingrays, 1,745 Grand Sports, 972 Z06s and 512 ZR1s.
Some other interesting figures obtained by Corvette Blogger show that just 15 per cent of Stingray Coupe/Convertible owners opted for the Z51 Performance Package, while just 3.2 per cent of Grand Sport buyers optioned the Z07 Performance Package. The eight-speed automatic transmission was also hugely more popular than the manual, accounting for 77.6 per cent of sales – which shows why GM chose not to offer a manual in the C8.
