The upcoming “Ford v Ferrari” film just dropped a new trailer to get us more pumped for the epic showdown between the two car makers during the 1960s at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Following its premiere at the Telluride Film Festival and screenings at the Toronto International Film Festival, Ford v. Ferrari enters the final straight for its official theater release.

The movie is directed by James Mangold and features Matt Damon as Caroll Shelby and Christian Bale as Ken Miles. The all-star cast also includes Jon Bernthal as Lee Iacocca and Tracy Letts as Henry Ford II.

Following its premiere in Toronto, Mangold pointed out how rare it is for a movie like “Ford v Ferrari” to be made in the today’s Hollywood. “This was a scary proposition for the studio,” he said during a press conference, the Detroit Free Press reports. “They took a big risk with an expensive film where there is no best-selling book, and there is no superhero.”

‘Ford v Ferrari’ is based on the true story of the rivalry between the two companies. When the Blue Oval tried to purchase Ferrari and the deal was off at the very last minute, Henry Ford II was furious with Enzo Ferrari and he decided to beat him where it hurt the most: at the track.

The movie focuses on Ken Miles, a British-born racing driver, and Caroll Shelby, who was responsible for turning the GT40 into a Ferrari-beating machine. Critics have, so far, nothing but good words to say about the racing scenes and the actor performances.

“Ford v Ferrari” – titled “Le Mans ‘66” in the UK- will officially open in theaters on November 15.
