Back in June, Dacia unveiled the Duster Black Collector limited edition at the Big Dacia Picnic in France.

Now the time has come for customers to secure one of the 500 examples that will be built – and the only way to make a reservation for the limited-run SUV is exclusively online via a dedicated website. The process opened on September 17 at 8 a.m. exclusively for the French market, and the price is set at €19,490 ($21,550 at current exchange rates), including VAT.

Placing an order for a car exclusively online is a first for the budget brand, though once the reservation has been made, the customer will have to go to a dealership in order to finalize it.

So what exactly do you get for the price? For starters, one of only 500 numbered units featuring exclusive details and a comprehensive equipment list. Based on the range-topping Prestige trim level, the Duster Black Collector features a pearlescent black paint complemented by grey and lime decals on the rear quarter panels and lime-colored accents on the mirror caps.

Inside, there’s a numbered inscription on the tread plates, Duster-branded floor mats and a Focal sound system. Standard equipment also includes a hands-free card, multi-view camera, multimedia screen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a spare wheel, among others.

The limited-run Duster is offered exclusively with front-wheel drive and is powered by the TCe 130 FAP 1.3-liter gasoline turbo four that’s hooked to a six-speed manual transmission. At the time of writing, there were still 438 Duster Black Collector units available to order.
