If you’ve ever played GTA V, then you’re probably aware that the game also allows for a first-person view once you climb inside a car. However, very few players use that camera angle seen as how it can be quite restrictive and you’re usually focused on making fast getaways or slaloming through traffic.
But what about slowly cruising the streets of Los Santos? Add a real steering wheel and a green screen and you might just end up with something that looks surprisingly immersive.
The footage comes courtesy of a YouTube channel that’s appropriately-named Steering Wheel Gameplays, and according to the description of the video, we’re looking at a heavily modified version of GTA V which supports steering wheel and manual transmission mods, real cars, as well as mods for indicators – you know, so you can obey the law like no one ever has in a Grand Theft Auto game.
While this video isn’t nearly as exciting as that Assetto Corsa VR mixed reality drive we showed you last year, it’s still pretty fascinating to watch, even if you’re a veteran GTA player and you already know the game’s map like the back of your hand.

It’s worth noting that the “one day” action was sped up at certain intervals in order to not be unbearably boring, which may have been the case since a full day in GTA V takes 48 minutes in real time.
Also, it really seems as though no matter how careful you are, accidents will still happen in the game, because the computer-controlled cars will eventually act erratically for no reason.
