Posh minivans aren’t exactly a thing nowadays, unless we’re talking something bespoke, like a heavily customized V-Class.
However, customers in markets like China apparently like a large family minivans that are also a little bit posh, perhaps even premium. Models such as the Buick GL8 or even the Lexus LM serve as the perfect examples.
Well, it so happens that VW now wants to get a piece of the action with the Viloran, which we first saw only a few days ago riding on top of a transport truck. More recently, we even saw a fully camouflaged prototype undergoing warm weather testing in Southern Europe, giving us a better picture of what we should expect in terms of size and overall shape.

Thankfully, we need not try picturing the Viloran too hard, since Kolesa did that already with a render that, at least to us, looks quite believable.
It definitely shares the actual car’s overall shape (to a certain degree), lines and creases, including the placement of details such as the mirrors. On the scooped prototype, the grille wasn’t chromed-out though, and the shape of the hood is definitely not as flat in real life, but other than that, it looks legit.
As for the rear, since that part wasn’t hidden away at all on the model on top of the transport truck, we can safely say that the render got it right.
According to reports, the MQB-based Viloran will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 220 PS (217 HP) and 350 Nm (258 Nm) of torque. Sales are expected to commence in December, with production allegedly already underway.
