The Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe is a very quick car. In fact, it can accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in around 4 seconds, a figure once restricted to expensive supercars.
However, the C63 S is far from the performance king of the AMG family and as Car Wow recently demonstrated, is actually quite slow compared to the all-new Mercedes-AMG E63 S.
Both the C63 S and E63 S have largely the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 but the E63 has a full 100 hp more, pumping out 604 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. What’s more, the E-Class has a huge advantage off the line due to its all-wheel drive system which allows for the 0-100 km/h sprint to be dealt with in 3.3 seconds.
For now, the E63 S is the AMG sedan king. How long will it remain this way?
