Audi has quietly dropped a teaser image that previews the next all-electric concept car it is working on.

The Audi in question can be seen at the back of an image published by Audi showing off its range of electric vehicles and concepts, including the production-spec e-tron, the Q4 e-tron concept, and the e-tron GT concept. So, what can we tell you about the car?

First off, it doesn’t appear to feature the radical exterior appearance you may be accustomed to seeing from recent electric concept cars. In fact, it looks very much like a vehicle that’s ready to be put into production with very few modifications.

An Audi source claims that the final touches are still being applied to the vehicle’s design and that the front end is more complete than other areas of the concept.

Auto Express reports that the vehicle will be similar in size to the A7 Sportback and comes with a slightly taller roofline due to the presence of the battery pack located in the floor. Underpinning the vehicle is the PPE electric platform being co-developed by Audi and Porsche. Audi and Porsche’s PPE platform is separate from the J1 architecture of the Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT and can support more body styles including sedans and SUVs.

It remains a mystery when the vehicle pictured will premiere but we expect to see it next year. It will then inevitably reach the production line a few years later.
