Only days after releasing European pricing for the all-new Polestar 2 electric vehicle, the Volvo-owned brand has announced how much the Performance Pack will cost.
Yes, the Polestar 2 will offer a Performance Pack, despite the fact that it comes standard with two electric motors producing a combined 300-kW (402 HP / 408 PS) and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) of instant torque delivered to both axles. The Polestar 2 is therefore able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 5 seconds.
For those who want more, the Performance Pack adds a four-piston Brembo front brake setup, adjustable Öhlins dampers, and 20-inch forged alloy wheels. According to Polestar, these upgrades enhance the EV’s dynamics “for the ultimate in driver engagement.” Also part of the package are gold seatbelts and valve caps.

The Performance Pack is priced at €6,000 (aproximately $6,600) in Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium, £5,000 ($6,115) in the UK, NOK50,000 ($5,470) in Norway and SEK60,000 ($6,065) in Sweden. Pricing for North America and China will follow at a later date.
Factoring in the Polestar 2’s base price, a model equipped with the Performance Pack will cost €64,800 ($71,240) in Germany and £54,900 ($67,190) in the UK.
“We spent a lot of time obsessing over the finest details of the Performance Pack chassis set-up to find the car’s sweet spot; we call it the ‘Golden Ride’. Comfortable but focussed, we want you to feel positively connected to the road, the car alive and communicative, but balanced and predictable. It really is unlike most electric cars. It feels Polestar,” says Joakim Rydholm, who is responsible for chassis development at Polestar.
