Koenigsegg has repaired its famous Agera RS ‘Gryphon’ after a crash in May last year left the vehicle with severe damage.
The story of the Koenigsegg Agera RS Gryphon starts back at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017 when it was unveiled to the world after being commissioned by U.S. car collector Manny Khoshbin. Before the real estate mogul could take delivery of the car, it was crashed on May 11, 2017 during pre-delivery tests. Khoshbin was offered a replacement dubbed Phoenix and Koenigsegg decided it would use Gryphon as a test mule.
However, nearly 12 months to the day after the first crash, the car was once again severely damaged in mid-May 2018 in Trollhattan, Sweden.

Koenigsegg ‘spotter’ Phtocristofferf on Instagram recently snapped the Agera RS Gryphon repaired and back on the road near the company’s Swedish base in Angelholm looking much like it did before the two crashes but with all its golden accents covered by tape.
It remains to be seen what Koenigsegg plans for the car but if it is still being used as a test mule, there’s certainly a possibility it is testing out some of the powertrain components to be used by the Jesko that may be able to exceed the 300 mph (482 km/h) mark. Either that or the company may intend on using it for promotional purposes or is perhaps looking to sell it.
