A pair of Ferrari SF90 Stradale prototypes have been filmed testing at Ferrari’s Fiorano circuit in Italy.
While Ferrari unveiled the hybrid SF90 Stradale back in May, the two prototypes featured in the video below remain wrapped in camouflage. Those conspiratorial types may suggest this indicates Ferrari is already working on a faster and more powerful version of the SF90 Stradale but we think it’s more likely Ferrari simply hasn’t got around to removing the camo and is using these two prototypes to iron-out the car before customer deliveries commence next year.

This video also provides us with one of our first opportunities to hear what the SF90 Stradale sounds like. Powering the Prancing Horse is a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine with 769 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. This engine is then paired to a hybrid system with three electric motors to produce a combined 986 hp.
Ferrari quotes a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time of 2.5 seconds, a sprint to 124 mph (200 km/h) in 6.7 seconds, and a 211 mph (340 km/h) top speed. There’s no word on how fast the car will lap Fiorano.
As for the sound, well it’s lacking, to say the least. When Ferrari launched the LaFerrari, it wasn’t just its fastest production model but the presence of a screaming 6.3-liter V12 meant it also sounded fantastic. Ferrari’s newer twin-turbocharged V8 is muted by comparison and certainly doesn’t cause the hairs on the back of your neck to stand up.
