The 2020 Genesis G90 is the new flagship model of the Korean brand, featuring a very distinctive exterior design that, so far, has proved to be popular.
For starters, it looks like a much more expensive luxury model than it actually is; the big Superman-like front grille works well with the new LED headlights, while the rear is equally eye-catching, with its full-width taillights emitting a Lincoln vibe.
The result is a luxury car with a unique visual signature, giving Genesis a new appeal. Some might think it’s a Bentley, others see a Lincoln, but apparently everyone on the road is left impressed, according to The Straight Pipes’ latest review.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 producing 420 HP (426 PS) and 383 lb-ft (519 Nm) of torque, paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard. US customers will also get a more affordable version with a twin-turbo 365 HP 3.3-liter V6 option, which in Canada will only be available as a special order.
The interior has been also updated, albeit in a much less dramatic fashion than the exterior, featuring a new 12.3-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system and plenty of physical buttons. Genesis claims that they have improved the NVH levels compared to the previous model by adding new sound-proofing materials both throughout the cabin and the sub-structure of the vehicle.
Perhaps the most headline-grabbing feature of the 2020 G90 will be its price; and we say “perhaps” because, right now, US pricing remains unknown. Even so, expect the new Genesis flagship to remain close to the prices of its predecessor, which starts from $69,350.
So, is the 2020 Genesis G90 the most luxury you can get for the money? Let’s find out.
