Hyundai has introduced (albeit via computer generated images for now) the Kona Ultimate and VelosterRaptor N ahead of their debut at SEMA.

Starting with the VelosterRaptor N, it created in cooperation with Bisimoto Engineering. It’s billed as a customer-friendly build that features bolt-on performance upgrades which are easy to install.

Designed specifically to be “Type R Killer,” the concept is based on the Veloster N Performance and features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with “upgraded turbocharger internals.” The model has also been equipped with a high-performance intercooler, a high-flow intake and a water methanol kit. Other upgrades include an optimized ECU, “mass airflow modifications” and a sports exhaust system.

Thanks to these changes, the engine produces more than 320 hp (239 kW / 324 PS). This is at least 45 hp (34 kW / 46 PS) more than stock and 14 hp (10 kW / 14 PS) more than the Honda Civic Type R.

Besides the performance upgrades, the car has been equipped with revised headlights, a suspension lowering kit and a custom rear spoiler. There are also Fifteen52 wheels that are wrapped in Toyo tires. Interior changes include lightweight sport seats and an “interactive OBD cluster” on the console.

Moving to the Kona, it has been turned into a legitimate off-roader by Rockstar Performance Garage. This required extensive modifications as the crossover has been equipped with a number of components from King suspension. The concept also sports 16-inch Motegi wheels that are wrapped in 30-inch Mickey Thompson tires.

Besides the off-road focused upgrades, the Kona has been outfitted with a number of performance parts. These include a Race Chip tune, a Magnaflow exhaust and a billet intake from K&N. The team also installed high-performance rotors and pads.

On the styling front, there isn’t much to report. However, Hyundai said the concept has a Bulletliner-coated body and Baja Design LED lights. Drivers will also find alligator-skinned seats and a Kicker audio system.
