An odd collection comprising more than 130 cars and trucks that were seized in the UK were auctioned off earlier this month.
Drive notes that the auction took place on November 2 and was held by NCM Auctions and Asset Management. It is reported that the vehicles were seized from a property where they were stored in a number of barns. In total, the auction included 135 cars, four Vespas, and 39 sets of car parts.

Some of the cars really have to be seen to be believed. They included what’s known as a Carmichael Commando that is a Range Rover with six wheels and an extended cab. Other interesting cars included no less than four BMW 635 CSis, a Jensen Interceptor III, six Range Rovers, a Toyota Celica GT-Four, a Ford Escort RS Cosworth replica, an Alfa Romeo GTV, three Humber Super Snipes, and a number of MG MGB GTs.
The auction house says the property where the vehicles had been stored in barns for a number of years was seized for redevelopment. Unsurprisingly, no documentation was provided for any of the vehicles and all crossed the auction block without warranties. Many of the cars were also in various states of decay and it’s likely that many of them won’t be legal to register for use on British streets unless they are comprehensively restored.
Every now and then, unique collections of cars are seized and auctioned off by authorities. In October, a fleet of 149 vehicles seized by the U.S. Marshals Service were auctioned off following a federal civil case involving the owners of the defunct DC Solar company in California.
