Following a teaser earlier today, Ferrari has officially unveiled its latest creation named Roma.
Billed as an icon of Italian design, the Roma seeks to embrace the “carefree, pleasurable way of life that characterized Rome in the 1950s and ‘60s.”
Ferrari didn’t say much about the model, but it has an aerodynamic front fascia with a somewhat retro grille. The latter resides above a pronounced splitter and is flanked by distinctive headlights with ‘floating’ daytime running lights.
Moving further back, the Roma has a steeply sloping hood and a rakish windscreen. We can also see sculpted bodywork which has an uninterrupted appearance thanks to flush-mounted door handles.
The car’s design becomes more aggressive at the rear as the Roma has bulging fenders with integrated LED taillights. The model also has a black rear bumper with an integrated four-tailpipe sports exhaust system.
Inside, drivers are treated to a high-tech cabin that features a digital instrument cluster and a unique infotainment system with a portrait orientation. Even the front passenger get their own infotainment system, although it’s unclear if it will be standard or an option like on the Portofino.
Besides the screens, the Roma has a ‘floating’ center stack with a unique gear selector that is broken up into three separate sections. The model also has premium leather and Alcantara upholstery as well as metallic and gloss black trim.

While the company was coy on specifics, they did confirm the Roma is powered by a turbocharged 3.9-liter (3855 cc) V8 engine that produces 612 hp (456 kW / 620 PS) and 560 lb-ft (760 Nm) of torque. It is connected to the same eight-speed dual-clutch transmission that was introduced on the SF90 Stradale.
This enables the 3,245 pound (1,472 kg) coupe to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 3.4 seconds. The dash to 124 mph (200 km/h) takes 9.3 seconds, while the top speed is in excess of 199 mph (320 km/h).
There’s no word on launch details at the moment, but Ferrari said the Roma “offers discerning clients the finesse and refinement that brings the concept of ‘la Dolce Vita’ right up to date.”
